not even a Kostya Tszyu right hand or DeLaHoya jab?

    hmmmmmmm.
Chavaz was ending his career when he fought them, he would have beat both of them badly in his prime.

Chavez in his prime was a never say die warrior, but he kept fighting past his prime so we must include that into the equation...and honestly Oscar woulda beat him in any era, jus too big and hit too hard, Chavez could take shots from fighters his size, imagine if Oscar hit Chavez wit those punches Taylor landed for 11.25 rounds...Chavez woulda looked like Rocky Dennis.

          Never Say Die:

Mickey Ward (the guy thrives on pain, never forget hearing him say he wanted to continue after the low blow from Gatti. Same left hook that ended the fight against Dorin, Ward took on the pelvis)

Evander Holyfield (who else but Evander would fight his heart out literally, against Bowe with hepatitis...several fights were finished with bodily injuries that other fighters quit from.)

don't forget Taylor alot of shoot that fight too, that landed him in the hospital with internal bleeding. Could DLH have taken those shots?

Question is, "would De La Hoya have taken those shots?"...Oscar's 5'10 and had equal overall speed to Taylor with much more power.

Oscar is quick, but not equal to taylor. JCC was a great fighter and would have been able to land, i really think JCC could have taken DLH's shots, but i don't know if that goes both ways, i would go with JCC by late KO

wow...Oscar's handspeed as a young fighter was brilliant, Chavez was tough no doubt, but with that much skill and such a heavy left hand i think Oscar would have spelled trouble for Chavez in any era...and we have come to find out that Oscar can hit and run for 12 rounds.
