  • Nonito Donaire Sees No Sense in Fighting Sonsona

WBA super flyweight interim champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire see no sense in fighting newly crowned WBO champion Marvin Sonsona or any other Filipino when there are other world champions to fight or challengers to defend his title against. [details]

@mellow mood that was off topic my friend. Just thought it was the only way I can make Ronnie hear my and a lot of other people's sentiments.

I know some of you guys want this to remain a boxing thread so if you want to read it, just highlight it.

Just to shed a bit of light on it, Japeth is a Pinoy basketball player who entered the Philippine Basketball Association draft. He was drafted at no.1 by a team who basically gave away their prized players to get the pick. Anyways, to make the long story short, Ronnie crawled his way into becoming Japeth's agent and now Japeth won't sign with the team that drafted him, killing all the chances of that team. That's the gist of it.

ON TOPIC: This is a result of the Pinoys current success. Unlike Mexicans, Pinoys aren't used to Pinoy vs. Pinoy matchups in the big events.

because Ronnie's a douchbag and he wants to play up the showbiz angle of in-family fighting.

Hey Ronnie! Let them resolve it on their own! We don't need to hear that ****. Maybe we could dig up some of your problems and make it a topic for discussion eh?

There is no wrong in fighting co-Filipinos in the name and spirit of good sports! But just like Donaire Jr. quipped, there are still lots of good fighters out there before a Donaire-Sonsona becomes a reality! Sonsona is far better to match up with Darch before Donaire actually, though, too early for Sonsona to that match up.

And it's just natural for a trainer to give confidence to his pupil of busting any ass of his divisions, and the fighter should feel the same way without reservations, otherwise if the fighter lack confidence of beating one or two in his divisions then he don't have that will to impose as true champion! If Sonsona and his trainer believes that he can even beat Donaire who is respected to be the best on that weight divisions then that's great and they are in a possitive ascending! And that's what true champion feels!

It's been a minute since I heard about el dengue. Mosquito's are some the most annoying pieces of **** on the planet. Get well soon Nonito.

Sonsona looks like the left handed version of Nonito and at 19 clearly beating seasoned vets is impressive. The kid has power and a lot of room for improvement which must be scary for all the fighters 115 and up.

Nonito is really good, but he should fight him soon before Sonsona gets too good.
