I wouldn't pick a prime Broner over any real world class fighter at 140. But who do you have in mind?
He fought his way back into the Maidana fight and even hurt him in the second half. That was when Marcos was at his peak, and after that gave Mayweather two hard fights.

Idk tho Broner was never the same after that fight so maybe you’re right. I always thought if he was able to keep that same form he’d have been tough to beat for most contenders. He used to be super sharp with those counters but all he does these days is soak up punches and shake his head. The Malignaggi fight was terrible

Of course A Bum (AB) has rejected fights against Benn. He is trying to keep his career going as long as possible. Broner knows that the next time he steps in a ring with any fighter that has power, and Benn has power, that his boxing career will finally come to an end. A Bum will continue to hand pick opponents that have no power. He's a coward and a fraud.

Yeah Im thinking the same, Broner doesn't want to step down to that level, while Benn sees the name value.

Broner still popular so beating him would be good for your career if you have a small fanbase

He's NOT a great fighter, but people continually call him out, like Prograis and Benn!

Eddie said find THE money. Not SOME money. Broner has obviously given his ****** price tag and deludes himself he's worth it. I wonder if it's the 10 Mill he was blowing off about not long ago?

                  Oh well.
I guess Eddie is still looking for "THE" money? But why? Can't he find something for Benn in his own house? How about Mikey? Why does he have Mikey fighting garbage instead of Benn?

I respect Broner’s career. He tried to be the best by attempting to beat the best. He always fell short vs the elite fighters and also struggled at the B level of boxing. A case can be made that he should be 32-6-1 (Ponce De Leon and Malignaggi).

My point is that Broner probably really just wants a higher pay. He has been tested against the best he could fight. So his 34-4-1 record was earned. We know more about Broner’s strengths and flaws compared to a “top 3” P4P fighter like Crawford that has not fought at the elite level yet.

I do not blame him for trying to cash out.

No matter how mediocre Broner is at the top level vs A or B class fighters, he earns my respect for never really ducking anyone. He has been tested at the top level but always came up short.

His win/loss record can also easily be 32-6-1 because many people thought Malignaggi pulled off at least a Draw, and there is a case for him having won the fight. There is also Ponce De Leon which even more people thought PDL won than the Malignaggi fight.

But he can be proud of himself because he did try to be the best by attempting to beat the best. His 34-4-1 record was earned.
