Yabuki was the mandatory challenger. He was ranked right after Ken Shiro and Hiroto Kyoguchi in Japan at 108. And 2 of his 3 losses came from Junto Nakatani (Current undefeated WBO Flyweight champion) and Seigo Yuri Akui (Current Japanese Flyweight Champion). This was a good match-up imo.
