He probably did pass because he thought he could win but he wasn’t in shape at the time Hearn offered him the fight on short notice. Not long after that Wilder fought and Ortiz got in the ring to challenge Wilder again and he was fat. I think that was the main reason why he passed. That’s just my opinion.

As much as I hear about how Luis Decubas (or however you spell his name) is a good manager, you would think he'd get his guys good fights. When it comes to Ortiz these fools turn down more fights than any fighter I've seen in recent times. What a joke

Why doesn't Joyce fight Hrgovic, everyone's avoided him now Joyce claims the same. So Joyce fight Hrgovic

Can one of you Brits or Redeemer please explain this to him. Thanks.
Lol you are so salty you refuse to acknowledge Ortiz and his management have turned down fights against so many fighters and instead try to throw some lame jibe at Anthony fkking Joshua for some absolutely pointless reason?

It is really not going to get any better for Ortiz that offer. He should go for that easy UK money and it is a winnable fight. He already said no to AJ and Wallin so I don't really know how his team work and why his advisors and not motivating him to take the fight.

He asked for that Joshua offer. He said he was willing to step in if something happened to Miller and would be training and ready to go. When that call came his management lied to Hearn claiming Ortiz was away on vacation with his family even though Ortiz was in the gym, his management also neglected to inform Ortiz or his trainer of this career high and career defining offer and then blamed an error in admin.

That is the absolute truth of what happened, it was nothing to do with Ortiz being caught out with a last minute offer.

Huh? This thread is about Joe Joyce. I literally make the same joke about every British hwt.

FYI when Im joking about AJ I use Ruiz.

As for Ortiz turning fights down, I don’t really care. Ortiz isn’t a big deal and I’m not a wilder fan.

Ortiz is waiting on the Wilder outcome ,no doubt he’s been promised another title shot if Wilder wins while not fighting anyone again to get a third shot ,that’s the only explanation he’s also turning down fights that lead to AJ as well with Joyce . Posters can say what they like but Ortiz has the most lackluster career for a former title contender I’ve ever seen that hovers in the top ten rankings doing nothing in the process managed to even fail a physical test in one of his title shots .

Would be very disappointing if this was the case. One side of the story tho

I know he said he was training but when he stepped in the ring to challenge Wilder he didn’t look fit.
