Why did Calzaghe vacate the IBF belt?

Anybody know? He made one title defense after winning it from Lacy, then vacated it.

Got it in one. Not to mention the increased sanctioning fees.

because the Manfredo fight was big enough to get a broadcast in the States, that said both fighters weren't in Calzaghe's class.

How cautious Manfredo faught and was backing up, he gave the impression he knew he didn't belong in the ring with Calzaghe. Manfredo was afraid to throw punches back because he feared to be countered by Calzaghe so he stood in a defensive shell.

Manfredo definitely wasn't. He got crushed easily.

Stieglitz actually is a better fighter of the 2.But he didnt have no tv appeal for the US.

Yeah the US commentators thought the fight was stopped too soon, and Manfredo's corner stated that he would have been stopped eventually.
