We don't know much because Jose hasn't fought since then. For all we know, he could still be a problem for some of these guys even with the "bum" leg

Without seeing him at all since that fight, I think he'd give the Danny G we've seen recently a tough fight. Same with Porter

Just think if he had been able to lunge in & out v Bud.(that was the 1 handicap that cost him the Bud fight)

Well you don't get shot in the knee and think you're gonna perform the same way as before. The guy could barely move.

I had high hopes for Jose Benavidez Jr when he first turned pro but then something happened. Not sure if it was his discipline, arrogance, or simply his talent ceiling that caused him to remain stagnant but he stopped improving for a while there. I know that his team probably delayed his progress (regarding level of competition) because of what happened in his fight with Pavel Miranda when he got rocked badly at the end of the fight.

As for him having a healthy leg could he have beaten Crawford??? I don't agree with that. I do feel it would have been more competitive but Crawford would probably still edge out a decision. My reason for thinking so is because of Benavidez Jr's style. Benavidez Jr tends to want to hold his ground and fight at close to mid range. That is why he gave Crawford some problems is because normally people would start giving ground once Crawford starts mounting an offense but since Benavidez prefers to fight like that Crawford had to deal with resistance the whole fight.

I just don't see whats so great about Bud? Hes a A level fighter but not THE a level fighter. Or in other words the guy who is just the man at ww.

Just think if Porter hadn't chosen to fight the best so often, hed be the one getting the hype Buds getting. If Bud had faced all the smoke like Porter has he wouldn't be Undefeated & he wouldn't be considered p4p. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

Jose was the much more skilled of the 2 brothers imho,& this fight shows that with 2 legs hed have beaten Bud.

              Don't duck me duns
I, like all of you, have watched crawford his entire career, and he has a lot of flaws. Every fighter has flaws, because there is no perfect fighter, but he has a lot that I've seen for a long time now.

I have no doubts Benevidez would have fought everyone,& he would be a far greater champ than Bud who wasted his prime. Pretty soon when Bud finally loses he'll get the ggg treatment from his fans & they'll say he was old.

Skill for skill, balls for balls Benevidez would be a much better champ with a with a much stronger mindset than Bud. Whats your thoughts?

Of course everyone will duck this like the plague. NoBody wants to defend Bud apparently? Look at how Benevidez is unable to lunge back or forward properly. Thats why Bud won, with 2 legs Jose would be a beast at ww.

Or am I mistaken & Bud would've won anyways?
Man, get your woulda coulda shoulda ass outta here, lmao.

How can I bet you when we both agree on the outcome?

Such is my disdain for your bs that I'm calling your bluff & willing to bet you straight up that Porter beats Bud(you pûssied out before, saying"why only 2-1 odds on a 4-1 odds fight" well once & for all will you grow some balls or will you just run away scared... again?

Benavidez scored a lot of head shaking and arm raising points. Compubox shows Benavidez was the busier head shaker and out-taunted Crawford in every round. Benavidez is a true warrior for letting the fans, judges and refs know that Crawford’s punches were not hurting him. Unfortunately, that is not how boxing fights are scored.

I think maybe he has a future in MMA. He can join the Diaz bros in their head shaking and taunting of opponents while taking brain-damaging blows to the head. There is a market for that in UFC.
