Oh yes, ESPN, who has in the past made no secret of how much they were against the fans having to pay ppv prices to watch a good fight, is having their first ppv event themselves with Jameel McCline, Juan Diaz, and a few others on the card.
Relationships between casinos and networks is the essence of what's wrong with boxing. These relationships lead to improper judging and shenanegans all around. I hope Caesar's does the right thing and dis-associates themselves with ESPN as a working partner. It's all good to have a fight there, but a partnership is a huge conflict of interest.
Ex. if I'm the #1 contender to the title, and the champ is a Main Events fighter, and the fight is on a Main Events ESPN/PPV at a casino with ties to Main Events, who's gonna get the decision?
Having a third player on the ppv circuit could lower the prices on cable and lessen the horrendous amounts of commercials and advertising on title fights broadcast abroad.

I hope these $30 or $20 cards compete with those fake-ass weak-ass $40 $50 cards. Juarez & Diaz are being primed for greatness hopefully they stay focused and stay away from that partying life to do it.

in situations like that, you just have to pull a Marvin Hagler style and get the guy outta there.

I dont think that will be a problem..neither of them party like that and both seem to have their heads firmly on their shoulders. Thats the main thing I like about them both..they are good guys out of the ring, which teaches kids that they dont have to be thugs to be boxers. Juan is even going to college and intends to be a lawyer. So not partying and going to jail, etc. should be the least of their worries
