Mikey Gacedos strikes me as someone who doesn’t really like boxing and only does it for money. Sort of like Gary Russell jr. I think Spence took any passion that he had for the sport and right now he’s content to barely fight and take these kinds of fights.

You might be right, but it was already the case before the Spence fight. That was purely for the money. The Prograis fight didn’t happen because when Mikey signed with Matchroom it was on the condition that he’ll make X amount per fight and the pandemic hit, etc….so now he’s enforcing his contract terms.
I agree that he’s more about business than record and legacy at this stage. I’ve never heard of this opponent either. Too bad, I was excited for the Prograis fight.

They sure have. It just really makes you wonder if the people at dayzin know anything about boxing. All they could see is his Spanish last name and past fight with spence and assumed mikey was going to bring millions of subscribers to the “American takeover” app. 7m for Jessie Vargas…..that why dayzin is on the predicament it is with the American market

Prograis was training for a fight he hoped to get not that he believed he would have. Mikey who cares about the guy drops by for a paycheck here and there, DAZN dont care about USA market used it for a while just as they are doing now anywhere else around the world they can sell there selves. The bad part of it all is there is no boxing to speak of all Summer and now into the Fall season. With DAZN, ESPN, FOX PBC, ESPN PLUS fight fans should have been talking about some great fights that HAPPENED not what could have been or should have taken place. Not the fight fans fault its the platforms and now even the fighters who are at fault. Yea give them more money that will fix what is wrong with boxing more money. Sure it will.

Prograis need to stop chasing Broner and Garcia. Just make fights and fans will care about you. Prograis should have been fighting 3 times a years, like GGG did when he was building his star power. Just taking on whoever he could find. No one NO ONE knows who Regis Prograis is.
