Didnt Wilder not say one damn word after he lost to Fury, even though they had a redo in their contract?
We were all waiting for Wilder to fight Fury at least 4-5 months after their first fight but he never said NOTHING for what, a year? Now he’s mister jibber jabber. I cant wait to see Fury “smesh” him.

Re-watched Fury/Wilder II over the weekend. Lots of rabbit punches by Fury (to the back of the head or neck), but never warned or called by the ref. Wilder better remember the "protect yourself at all times" rule. Fury was a beast and took lots of chances to really smash punches on Wilder ... particularly after Wilder misses. All excuses aside, Fury came in meaning business and Wilder really didn't. Wilder was looking for the script where he manages to get along until he lands something big. He better come in with a strategy to beat someone up, and with a mind toward not throwing wild punches getting himself off balance. Good controlled offense coupled with smart defense. He has to fight with a clear head at all times.

Fury understands the danger Wilder presents. Kronk had him come in very aggressive ... not waiting for something bad to happen. Also using his weight and mass at all times to burden Wilder. Fury fought a very smart fight (rabbit punches and all. If they let him get away with them ... not his fault or problem). And yea ... rabbit punches happen when guys are moving, ducking, etc. Fury was right in just trying to hit Wilder hard wherever and whenever he could ... Wilder better adopt that strategy.

If both fighters come in prepared for a long (12 rounds) war, this could be a historical fight. If Wilder isn't prepared to have a long war it could be a repeat.

Then there is the always-present outcome of a Wilder right delivered at just the right moment ...

With regards to the "rabbit punches", you can't really warn a guy for hitting his opponent in the back of the head/neck when said opponent literally turns away and exposes the back of his head to an incoming punch lol

Also, "good controlled offense coupled with smart defense", is something I very much doubt Wilder is capable of. He's never shown a hint of either in his entire career, it's not gonna happen now just because he's got the biggest yes man he could find to train him.

One thing I will say, IF Wilder comes out showing considerable improvements (absolutely hypothetical, I genuinely believe there's no chance) then I'll be the first one to stand up and salute the effort, win or lose.

Disagreement aside, decent post. (I couldn't find a thumbs up smiley, so just pretend the fingers are thumbs!!)

Haha, if you thought 2020 was a banner year, 2021 will probably put you in the mental hospital even longer this time. I believe you were there for 6 months last time

why would fury pull out of this fight? doesnt make sense at all, if hes in shape, which i presume he will be, he will beat wilder, even a flabby bad looking fury beat him first time, too much money on the line here, fury sees this as easy work really id say

They added an addendum to the contract. If Fury pulls out again it’s a forfeit. A W for Wilder and it counts as a win so he would be the new Champ.
