Comments Thread For: Crawford-Porter Title Fight Set, November 20 At Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas

We have until November to see. While I want to see this fight I'm not holding out hope it'll happen with the recent string of cancellations we've seen this year. Crawford could end up dong the same thing you're saying Porter may do. The only difference with them is we've seen Shawn against the best in the division

If Crawford is smart, he’s goes the Canelo/Mikey Garcia route and stays a free agent after this fight. Work with everyone on a fight by fight basis. And then hopefully others will follow suit. Getting suckered in to these multi fight/ multi-year deals just fcks us out of great matchups once rival networks & promoters start controlling shttt

I said the same. Porter is gonna be Spences leftovers, Buds gonna have to fight Danny (who is also Spence leftovers) he’s gonna have to sell more PPVs, etc. for some people to be happy. Lot of it is just protecting their boy Spence. Cuz if or when that fight does happens, the excuses will be the eye, the accident, Spence should have been at 154.GuaranteedOriginally posted by RL_GMA View PostI'm glad they finally got this done.
That being said, I don't feel any of Crawford's skeptics will change their tune in a win for Crawford. The excuses are already there:
Porter lost to Brook already
Lost to Thurman
Lost to Spence
Arguably lost to Poter
Has been inactive since August 2020.
Take your pick. I got Crawford by 8-9th round stoppage.

At this point, I'm only looking at Crawford & Ugas because I genuinely believe Spence is never going to be 100% again.Originally posted by Bronx23 View Post

The fight with Porter was a close fight, but Brook won because as usual, Porter smothered his own work, being reckless! Brook was good though. Just look at his first couple of rounds with GGG, and at least the first half of his fight with Spence! However, those fights were in 2016-2017, and he didn't fight Crawford until 2020! He also moved up to Super Welterweight 2018-2020, and foolishly decided to fight Crawford @ 147! No Bueno!Originally posted by Fighter78 View Post
I don't believe that at all....Brook wasn't that good to begin with...LOL.
I thought he lost the porter fight quite honestly.

Nah, Bud (if he stays at 147) can fight Ugas, Boots, and Vergil Ortiz Jr.! Those are just as good as Porter, if not better.Originally posted by Bronx23 View Post

I'm talking about within the next calendar year. I don't think Boots or Virgil get a crack at the Champs until its somewhat fully Unified between Crawford / Ugas / Spence. After that? Yea I think those 2 are the main guys if Boots doesn't end up moving to 154 sooner than later (which they've been hinting at).Originally posted by Bronx2245 View PostWhat about Boots Ennis and Vergil Ortiz Jr.?
