Joshua is just being polite here. There's no way he's learning much from fighting MMA fighters. If he was fighting actual professional boxers, yes, that would be going straight in the deep end. Against ex-MMA fighters? Not so much.

Well I get what he is saying but it's still a fkking circus act as far as I'm concerned and when hearing rumours about PPV numbers the balloon is already bursting regarding youtubers and old timers doing Boxing. These are not real Boxing fans and that isn't real Boxing and like all fads they all have a short shelf life before the next fad takes over.

If it's dragged a few casuals in to really enjoy the sport, I certainly don't think it's doing any damage but it's still a load of bollocks as far as real Boxing fans are concerned.

Joshua is being disingenuous here. Jake Paul is an insult to nobility of the sport with this bogus Clown act. You have REAL fighters who toil on low tier undercards who can actually FIGHT and have genuine talent, who are making peanuts when they deserve more.
Meanwhile this YouTube fraud who will duck out once he has to fight an actual capable and rated contender who can threaten his meal ticket, is getting the kind of money even high rated contenders aren't getting. That doesn't help the SPORT in any scenario. And NO, youtubers who have a limited attention span, are not going to be the audience to save boxing. As for Paul his novelty act will get stale quickly once he is pressured to actually engage an actual fighter. He's insulting the sport itself and mocking the fighters who actually put their lives on the line taking REAL risks.
And NO, it doesn't matter if its Mike Tyson or some other high profile fighter who condones this stupidity. At the end of the day its a circus that will see the tent fold soon enough.
