I was just kidding but I agree, Bruno was no bum, but Mike made him look like one.

But id argue Larry went on to fight for some time. Beating Mercer and going the distance with Holyfield.
I think Holmes didnt do too badly till he got dropped.
That was his only ever loss by stoppage.

Id say an old Holmes was as good as a prime Bruno or even Ruddock.

Ruddock got KO'd by Tyson, Lewis, Morrison. I dont think he beat anyone that good.

Tyson looked amazing against many early opponents, but was stopping Berbick in 2 a great win?

Tyson became the youngest Heavyweight champion in history when he won that fight. I'd consider it a great win.

Spinks fought like a puto, he was scared before he even got in the ring. And no doubt tyson hits hard, but Spinks was just grazed and basically quit. Spinks did not come to win that fight, he came for a pay-check, it was a disgraceful showing from him.

Against Tyson, the two year layoff hurt Holmes more than anything. That and coming off back to back losses. The Holmes that fought Mercer, though older, would do much better against Mike. Still lose, but fair better, possibly last the distance.

Larry Holmes is the biggest most impressive name but if you watch the Heavyweight landscape at this time, Larry was past his prime and not as big as the undefeated skilled Michael Spinks. Spinks should have given a better fight to Tyson... on paper.

He looked most impressive in the spinks fight, but the most impressive (to me) is the Holmes K.O or razor ruddock. I think we can all agree that tysons resume is pretty poor when you look at it closely
