Everyone has 1 vote. Our system centers around winning certain states, so trying to win the overall popular vote just isn't something that's a real strategy.

If you understand how health insurance worked you would be outraged too. Universal healthcare is a GOOD thing and is only demonized by the media because of corporate stranglehold at every level of infrastructure in America.

USA uses "socialism" to fund our military, police, postal service, EMS, build roads, extend/improve internet with telephone poles, transformers, and power lines, etc.

Why is it okay that you and I PAY FOR THE INSTALL of these goods and then ALSO pay for-profit companies for the "service" ???? And tnose same companies have been PROVEN to "throttle internet speeds" ... meaning they can manipulate your connection which they use to establish "tiers" so those who pay the most get the fastest speeds and those who pay the least get the slowest speeds.

Again, socialism makes it so that citizens receive maximum return on their dollar. Private companies reduce the value each citizen receives since those companies take a CUT of that dollar.

I'm just against corporations and their greed. Somehow you and I pay more in taxes than the wealthiest man in the world. Theres something wrong with that. So YES i am a socialist.

And if you knew your modern American history you would know the "golden age" of America came off the backend of a whopping 90% tax rate on elite wealth. That same group of elite wealth now pay......0%. Woah, talk about economics !

Non-Americans have a hard time with understanding the electoral college system. I can speak about this personally because my British family needs and continues to be needed to explain the constitutionally defined separation of government and really struggles with the reality that states make their own laws, have governors, state legislatures etc etc. The concept of seeing the USA as 50 separate states with their own governments is foreign as British and other Europeans think of the USA as one monolithic country. I think the poster you’re talking to is British and brits without open minds cannot ever understand the USA, it’s many states, and just how different of culture it is comparing the USA with the U.K. is. It took quite a while for my other half to learn the ropes here as well as she is born and raised in the U.K. and came over much later in life than I did.

I know Robbie seems to be a pretty sharp guy. I think he understand some of that, but you're right, when you're not living in it, it's hard to really understand all the nuances of a system. It seems kind of natural when you're living here, but when you take a step back, I could see how it could certainly appear foreign to people who don't live here. It is a pretty unique system.

***** is NOT a good candidate. Dude is 80+ years old with active dementia and was a former ********** who FOUGHT against ending segregation as well as womens rights.

***** only won because of how bad a candidate Trump is/was...Hillary was even WORSE than ***** which is why Trump beat Hillary

Oh I mean unless I see a lot of evidence to the contrary, I will never believe ***** got 81 million votes - that would be 15 million more than Hillary. All while Trump got 11 million more than he got 4 years prior himself. 26 million more votes for the top 2 candidates? While the incumbent grows his share by probably the biggest percentage gain ever? And his opponent grows his numbers by even more?

Those numbers alone make 0 sense, thanks for pointing that out. And yes, with how hysterical Dems were with Trump in office, I think you'd have to be very dim to argue that they wouldn't try and do whatever necessary to make sure he didn't win in 2020. Look at how looney they were with him in office for Heaven's sake

WTF you talking about troll? Do you know nothing about DELEGATES ?!? There are regular delegates whose ONE VOTE is somehow worth 7.5k votes and SUPER DELEGATES whose 1 vote is worth 10k votes.
