I've been on phentermine for 4 years. It's not a PED by any stretch. All it does is curb your appetite, b/c it's like mild speed. It doesn't give some crazy extra energy to help you work out harder - it just gives a little speed buzz that actually makes you tired when it wears off. There's no diuretic component and contrary to what many websites say, it does not actually speed up your metabolism. It just tricks your brain to not crave McDonald's with 2 Snickers as desert. I don't see the problem with it whatsoever.

They should just stop all PED testing because they subjectively throw out positive results and allow fights to continue so what is even the point of testing if you are going to do nothing with a confirmed positive result of an amphetamine.

To be fair and drug free, you must test. This drug is to make it easier to make weight. These are weight classes that count weight for competition. So this drug is a PED any way you slice it. It seems that some of these guys try to make it just under the tests or avoid the tests altogether. Some do it unknowingly by their handlers. Bradley is right to criticize. These boxers should scrutinize everything they ingest. It's unfair to clean fighters to cheat with drugs.
