It would be to the benefit of both fighters to let this fight go to purse bids.

I was disappointed that it didn't happen on September 2 as was scheduled.

Of course fast Eddie is gonna try to get the fight. DAZN is probably pushing for some mainstream exposure from it

Well if it does well and both Crawford and Porter are impressed with the metrics, they might be interested in future offers

Hearn will bid just to stick to Arum. Bob can’t afford to pay outside opponents what they’re worth. Everyone knows that.
He can only pay faded guys like Khan and Brook looking to cash that last check.

I think that if it goes to purse bid and DAZN puts in the highest bid, then that's a victory for everyone. Crawford and Porter get a bigger purse, PBC/TR get their cut from their respective fighter's purse, and we (the U.S. audience) won't have to pay a big PPV price to watch it.

But I doubt things will play out this way because PBC/TR hate Matchroom more than themselves.

Regardless, Hearn has just increased the negotiating power of both fighters by publicing stating DAZN's interest.

Porter has fought who's who on PBC island, and Crawford is about to leave TR. Both should be willing to let this go to purse bid.
