Big Punchers The Most Beloved Boxing Style

    What do you think

these guys ALWAYS have people tuning into their fights.

and get the benefit of the doubt about their chances

because 1 punch can change everything

Julian Jackson, Tyson, Naz. One punch difference. Off the top of my head.

    And not so beloved Liston.

My dad brought up Julian Jackson the other night. He’s a lifelong boxing fan. But nobody got to see Jackson too much during his actual run. Became more of a cult icon from word of mouth and YouTube vids. His knockouts are borderline hard to watch. Naz had awkward wild KO power, but unlike Jackson his work was highly promoted. Randall Bailey comes to mind. Corey Sanders. Still not too many that are as just likely to get you in the first as well as the last round.

I found and researched Jackson on YouTube. The Hawk is one of my favorites.. His stalking and KO of Norris is brutal. He never got the exposure that he was deserved for sure.

A knockout is way more exciting than a point win. Its just the way it is

I’ll have to watch that fight! Was “The Hawk” Jackson’s nickname? Made me think of Aaron Pryor, another fighter I admire. “Hawk Time!”, He’s one of the fighters I’d like to mythically match against mayweather at the lower weights. Watching Norris vs Jackson now. Another good fight that many don’t remember is Foreman vs Qawii.

Just finished watching. Whoooooo! Jackson has disturbing power. He’s power is by far the most natural ability he had. If had a few more wrinkles in his skillset, who knows…

Yes, that's his nickname. Always looking to ko opponents.

Man when you mentioned Randall Bailey, damn haven't heard that name for a minute. He was known to be a hard puncher as well.

I am quite critical of fighters punching power.

I just think having punching power, can also make a fighter 'Fight more efficiently'.

Tyson Fury for example 'Knows that he has to produce a lot of offensive work in order to deter Deontay Wilder'. Fury even in this up and coming 3rd fight, is not changing the dynamic of a fight with 1 punch 'It will take a sustained Heavy bombardment of Wilder to deter him'.

Where as Wilder probably still believes, 1 or 2 punches for him could change the dynamic of the fight. When you have that type of equalizing power, naturally you will fight more efficiently. When I say efficiently, what I mean by this is? Managing your dissipation of energy bursts, and picking and choosing when to work.

Note: Wilder for the most part, fights efficiently 'It is only when he has a fighter hurt, does he seemingly throw everything out of the window' I would not describe him as a clinical finisher etc
