It’s sad to see Evander’s record with 10 losses on it aready. So many of those after his prime. It’s sometimes hard to know when Evander really left his prime. I would say after the moorer loss, he was just not able to ever produce the energy he had in the first two Bowe fights or with Foreman m, Qawi, etc. But then again he did come back and mug Moorer in an absolute drubbing as he did with Tyson twice. Even so, that first Moorer fight really looked like Evander had gotten old literally overnight

this really is toxic has been garbage that has no market , the kids have no you tubers to scream over and there are no legends on the card that real boxing fans know or respect
( not for one minute do I think self respecting knowledgeable boxing fans would have bought de la Hoya anyway) but now it’s even worse , dread to think what they will have Gaul to ask to view this dross

Evander will be 38 days shy of 59 years old...he shouldn't be licensed.

Holyfield is a legend but at 58? I agree no one cares to see him fight at that age. I think Oscar on the card would have def better but I didn't expect great numbers regardless. One of the saddest things I seem recently was no drug testing for that Jake Paul nonsense. That is horrible, no respect for the sport.

I'm sure Holyfield is looking at it as a damn good paying part time job. Hell, I'm over 60 and would take the fight for 1/4 mil, and sure he'll make more, plus skilled enough to actually win.

Holyfield’s is going to sell the PPV buys no doubt . I think Holyfield carry Belfort late then try and stop him to make a case fir himself,it’s a real mismatch now . And ODL would have defeated Vitor now he’s up against a real puncher boxer of size ,Holyfield will knock Vitor out easy if he wants ,depends what they agree to I guess ?

Nawww it’s just so sad to see ten loses. So hard to bare.
no mate, that’s why win-loss ratio records don’t mean sht and you can only take it at face value.
Yeah he lost later in his career, but who gives a sht.

sick of “fans” caring about undefeated records or wins to loss ratio.
all I care is, who they fight, when they fought them, how the fight went (epic fight or boring MD), and how the fighter was in his prime, plus so many other factors (different styles they fought, stylistic weakness etc) .

For example, some fighters have far better longevity due to their lifestyle and fighting style. Like Hopkins, then you look at someone who didn’t age gracefully (like Roy Jones)
but you pit them head to head in their prime and Roy outboxes him every day.
numbers are not the deciding factor in boxing and it does not fkn matter that Holyfield has more losses on his record. Only to simple fans.
jusr look at his history and that’s all that counts.

When your drunk uncle and grandfather both reach for the last hamburger at the same time and they end up fighting in the backyard to decide who eats it.
