A/A-. Many pros and cons in the career of Lewis, and oddly, he went from underrated to overrated, I feel partly to hype up the 90s era. He beat Vitali, though it was on cuts in a fight he was losing, and he never looked like putting Vitali down, he deserved the win as it was from punches, but factoring it all in, he ducked the rematch as he thought he would lose.

He was dreadful vs Mercer in a dire fight that I felt he lost and showed a real lack of variation and one-pace style. I give him the win over Bowe, as Bowe binned a belt to avoid the fight. He beat the shell of Tyson, and Tyson was overrated anyway. He was excellent in the first Holyfield fight, the "draw" when he won clearly, and good in the second fight, which I felt actually was a draw.

He was also knocked out twice by B-Level guys, though he avenged them, which deserves some credit, but does not take away those losses. Prime Tyson Fury beats prime Lennox Lewis all day, every day. Nash out.

Lennox is overrated as **** these days. There's a reason he waited years after Tyson and Holy debutted to debut himself. Same reason he fights neither until they're well primed for losing. Same reason he never defended his undisputed crown. Lennox Lewis was a great boxer, but he's also one of the early career mappers who avoided the best until after it mattered. Only difference between him and newer boxing stars is he started the trend, didn't just follow it.
