Bivol needs to start stepping up his level of competition.
I've been a fan since before he won the interim WBA strap in 2016.
He initially made a lot of noise about wanting to fight the best, unifying, etc but he hasn't really convinced me that he is the best in the division.
He's had three fights of note in that time against Barrera, Pascal, and Smith Jr.
I think it's about time he took a 50-50 fight, if not then challenge either Beterbiev or Smith Jr. There is also plenty of talented fighters at 175, so he's running out of excuses.
This is an embarrassingly biased article. Shame on whoever wrote this. Boxingscene getting worse by the day and losing all credibility. Boxingscene in the mud
what was biased about an article that praised Bivol in Ramirez's own words? This article literally was mostly just quoting Ramirez(what the article was about)
I myself am surprised Zurdo is finally trying to change his hypejob ducking ways,& its cringey listening to him,but I really don't get what the writer said wrong in any way?
Agreed! he reminds me of a so called journalist called Michael Collins who sometimes scribble's for another forum.
Same question I asked him, what did the writer say wrong?(he literally just quoted Zurdo, which was the basis of the entire article) don't kill the Messenger because you dislike the cringey message from Zurdo
why would hearn be afraid of a bivol vs ramirez match up? bivol isn't some golden goose that needs to be protected nor is he a blue chip prospect with no experience at the top level. bivol is a world champion with multiple defenses under his belt. he would be the favorite vs ramirez. bivol has no fan base. fighting and beating ramirez would do big things for bivol's career. this is exactly the fight bivol needs at this point in his career.
