Cotto was not even in the question it was already in the works for Floyd to go straight into a rematch with Oscar the approaching summer... He was not mentally or physically in the game at that time so i cant knock him for taking a break... Floyd the same Floyd that's obsessed with money turned down another huge 20 million dollar pay day with Oscar that would of been an easy victory so clearly his heart wasnt in boxing anymore at the point... A duck is when a fight is actually presented to you and the fight financially and professionally makes the most sense at that time to take and you turn it down... Floyd has never been offered or even began to negotiate a fight with Cotto so there has never been a duck by Floyd the fight just has not materalized yet

Lol the Floyd-Oscar rematch was already in talk with Mayweather and Goldenboy before the Hatton fight was even over with... And there was no Cotto fight there on the table by Top Rank there was a lawsuit going on with Floyd and Top Rank Arum wanted no part of putting Cotto against Floyd and possibly giving Floyd the satisfaction of taking out his top guy... Arums plan actually was to put Cotto up against either Cintron another top Puerto Rican fighter and milk the New York crowd and Puerto Rican day parade... or fight Margarito which did happen... Floyd was never an option during those months so stop lying to ur self... No one ducked no one the fight just didn't happen
