I like those two fights a lot, the Johnson one a little more. The rematch with Johnson was real good too, as was the Kates fight.

I think Saad more or less gets his credit though among boxing circles as one of the most exciting fighters ever.

      As he should.

I just brought it up because I never see his name around here that much, atleast on NSB.

It's possibly because people on here are so focused on losses, that it's to dismiss him because of how many his has, not realizing when they happened in his career.

I saw an interview with him from a year or two ago. As you'd expect, he doesn't sound very good.

              I prefer the Gatti-Robinson fights over Gatti-Ward.

Gatti-Robinson I didn't have a round like round 9 of Gatti-Ward I, but the sustained action was probably more consistent throughout.

And Gatti-Robinson II was better than Gatti-Ward II and III by fair amounts.

Good selection here are some that deserve a mention in my imo-

                Ross v McClarnin
                Basillio v Demarco 1 & 2
Basilio v Robinson shame Robinson didn't agree to a 3th
                Robinson Fullmer

These were great fights in my imo i know some aren't trilogies but hey who gives ah f.
Has to be Ali V Frazier, we'll never withness HWs fight the way they did.

gatti and ward was pretty much a one sided beat down with two best friends.

morales barrera was 3 battles between two people who DESPISED each other.

the hatred between morales and barrera only made their matches even more beautiful..one thing though:

if erik and mab had only two fights and lets say IF the only two fights they had was #2 and #3 [not the 1st one] we'd be all be sayin how those two fights were such wars..but because their 1st fight was so damn epic we seemed to be fooled by it...2 and 3 had some EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT exchanges through out those fights..i voted for Morales Barrera...

I'd say Ali-Frazier. Sure, Gatti and Ward fought their hearts out but they weren't really rivals. Frazier wanted to hurt Ali so badly he could only dream. Ali mocked Frazier in and out of the ring. This was a true boxing rivalry.

Clearly Ali/Frazier, but rivalries 1 of many i can think is Robinson V Basillio & in recent times Benn V Eubank
