And for the record...I hate his persona...not him the fighter. And if he would've came back to have a "tuneup" against a WW (Quintana would've gotten him alot of respect) THEN go on to whatever "mega-fight" against Shane/ Cotto/ Clottey....much respect...not about wanting to see him fight someone he could lose against...but just seeing him fight someone in the WW division. If he is going to campaign in the LW division after the Marquez fight...I will eat crow....but if he still campaigns in the WW division after destroying Marquez...well....you've seen the other 100's of threads....

He wasn't the best WW though. Bob Arum took that fight because he was protecting Cotto from the best WW's.

Floyd fought Mitchell first because he didn't even know how he will do at WW. Quintana and Mitchell were both just tests. You can't knock a SFW for first getting his feet wet before taking any real challenge. Cotto on the other hand, th eleast he can do was fight a top WW. The guy is a natural WW that was draining himself to make 140 and even Cotto stans admit he was drained at 140.

besides the sharmba mitchell fight i don't understand the problem with floyds choice in opponents, you are all lookin at the situation as if it were happening right now but you have to remember when these fights happened and at the time paul williams and margarito were both nobody,zab judah and baldomir at the time were both bigger names in the sport than margarito and williams
