      I'm half Ukrainian/half Russian, but I support all Slavic fighters. Adamek is from Gilowice, Poland which is located near the Ukrainian/Polish border.

        Isn't that spelled GLIWICE?? Actually the records list his birthplace as Zywiec, in south-central Poland.

          boxrec is ****ed, go to google, type in Tomasz Adamek and you will see that he was born in Gilowice, Poland.

            Yes but why is he called Goral/The Highlander?? There are no mountains in east Poland as far as I know. I've seen Zywiec on the map and it lies in the most mountainous area of Poland. The ONLY mountainous area that is!

              Why doesn't Adamek have a normal Polish last name? My last name is Olszewski, just like the great former womens world champion Elieen Olszewski.

                  Not all Poles have surnames ending with a ski. Just like Russians or Ukrainians. Some end with icz and some with ek.
