Rumor: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley is trending toward 1 million PPV buys, very high pre sales, Pacquiao vs. Ugas numbers very low around 150,000 buys.

Kelly Pavlik won the unified and lineal middleweight title in one of the greatest fights of the decade against Jermain Taylor. Their immediate rematch did 250K PPV buys. Pavlik-Hopkins didn't break 200K PPV buys.

The Great White Hope trope is just BS blackskins tell each other to convince themselves of their oppression. This isn't 1910 anymore. No one cares if you're a white boxer. In 2021, being Mexican helps you sell PPVs.

As a huge Boxing fan of course I HOPE I'm wrong and that those other fights do better numbers but yeah that is not likely

Get Over Yourselves Boxing Fans! This is not our Demo, we're not really the Target Audience here and this kid don't need US or our approval to BOX to do successful events and I think A LOT of Boxing Fans absolutely hate that some outside has arrived and has a far bigger Buzz and is drawing bigger Crowd and Better PPV Number than their favorite Pro Fighter

I don't care, I will be tuned in and will enjoy on a Sunday Evening. Also the Undercard is not bad at all with some Real Pros on it

ViacomCBS/Showtime, Espinoza they struck GOLD with this Jake Paul signing, I posted it when it was announced
the only other boxing fight that will do huge numbers is the oscar de la hoya vs vitor belfort which also has anderson silva vs tito ortiz. The staples center is almost sold out.

these sideshow fights will outdo traditional boxing ppvs

Lol his hype died within like 12 months of when it started.

He beat Taylor, then edged Taylor in the rematch. Stopped Lockett. Then was destroyed by Hopkins.

I remember he was calling out everyone, including Calzaghe. Hopkins answered. It was over after that. More because he let it be over, having issues with alcohol and the law.

I ask because I never thought they weighed the same. Someone here said they do. The picture of them together looks like Paul is fighting a guy 25 pounds smaller. If that’s the case. This is a joke fight. I’d love to see him fight a professional boxer whose in the top 20 THAT WEIGHS THE SAME AS HE DOES.
