Your opinion deserves to be respected like anybody else's. Where Wood is concerned, Davison does deserve to be in the position he's in, as where was Wood before he hooked up with Davison? Does he beat Conlan, I'm not sure but I think with Ben in his corner he definitely has a chance. I've never been a fan of Leigh Wood but was impressed with his performance over Xu, so good on both of them and I hope they have success.

With regards the title Xu is irrelevant. However a condition of Wood getting the shot was a rematch clause and if they activate it then Wood is contractually bound to honour it. The WBA don't have to honour it, so it puts Wood in a predicament. Does he fight Conlan and be in breach of contract? Or does he fight Xu and get stripped. Eddie will probably try to talk the WBA into an exemption, for Wood to fight Xu and Conlan getting the winner.

This would be a good fight. I hope it happens. Wood has looked real good his last couple of fights. Xu looked real small and frail in that fight. Wood is a thin guy too but Xu looked terrible. Colon is much sturdier and bulkier than Xu. So I don't think Wood will be able to throw quick combos and then hug and bully Colon. Regardless, Colon has hasn't look.very good in a while. So it's an intriguing fight. Too close to call.

Leo should be stripped with Wood becoming full WBA champion. If Wood has to fight Xu again, Leo can fight the winner for the title should he wish to continue fighting at the weight.

If that was the case, Pacquiao would of been safe too! Pacquiao is PBC too, with TGB, or at least that's what he told Paradigm!

He isn't a spring chicken nor was he gonna be around long enough. He was there to pass the torch to Spence which fell through.

I wasn’t aware that Xu was enforcing a rematch clause, but even if that’s the case, there is no longer a “title” to win back. Usually fighters don’t have rematch clauses unless they are champions.
I couldn’t be happier that WBA are culling the herd of phony title holders. I hope they move on and Xu gets in line with the other contenders who lose fair and square, and rebuilds while the winner advances toward a real elimination style tournament that will determine a “real” champion.

I don't know if he is but there's definitely a clause there, and last I heard Dave Coldwell said they were showing interest in activating it. Your right though if he forces it then Wood gets stripped so there's no title to fight for and in that respect it seems pointless. But he could be motivated by revenge or the paycheck. I think we're all happy with that culling. Not heard anyone saying they want all those titles to stay lol.

Yeah but it would've been better to let Manny keep the WBA title to fight Spence in a unification bout, but the WBA stripped him anyway! Pretty sure that's not what Haymon wanted!
