      Three things here -
#1. I know Lamont Peterson, his brother Anthony and their entire camp personaly, have for years and I can tell you Lamont doesn't talk trash. He is all about business in the ring and if the sparring got serious - GOOD - both fighters have huge upcoming bouts, nothing wrong with a bit of a "tude" before a big fight. If anything, it would have been Lamonts' corner talking trash back to Mayweather, not Lamont himself.

#2. Mayweather is a great fighter, I am personaly not the biggest fan, but he is very talented. If Lamont Peterson is sparring with Mayweather and handling himself against a Mayweather, then Bradley is in trouble. Peterson himself was a 3 time National Amatuer Champion before going pro, so it's not like he is a green fighter, he has hundreds of wins under his belt, so does Anthony Peterson, and I can see why it benefits BOTH Mayweather and Peterson by sparring each other. Peterson is a top athlete and trust me, he is in shape, I just saw the entire Peterson camp last weekend myself in Memphis.

#3. To settle this once and for all, I will call and ask Peterson himself tomorrow and get the real scoop - then I will post what Lamont has to say about this. Personaly, I would say it went down the same way it went down when BOTH Anthony and Lamont sparred with Zab Judah - they BOTH put it on him. Afterwards Anthony did tell me Zab punches harder than ANYONE he has ever been hit by, but Zab still got the worst of it....

If he was fighting guys his own size like this then people would be judging him differently because he would be putting on shows Offensivley

Interesting. That's pretty good sparring. Lamont is no joke, but I don't think he's on Bradley's level, let alone Floyd's.

Just being honest. I like Zab, but the truth is, he just doesn't train seriously enough - hell, he only trained 3 weeks for Cotto, I know because I was there, I saw the work, or lack there of...

I wasn't talking about Zab...he's a loser. I'm talking about you thinking Lamont put in work on Money May.

I have no doubt that he got good work in on Mayweather and that Mayweather got good work in on him.

Sound Traveler, interesting about the Zab sparring sessions I had heard this from some guys in DC as well. How long did he spar with Zab?

Here's one of the many SoundTraveler posts re: Cotto vs. Judah:

Well my friend, we see the fight completely opposite of each other! I think it will be Cotto who gets crushed by the 6th Round, and you say Zab gets crushed by the 7th, I can't wait for this fight...
I know we all get predictions wrong sometimes, but given what you are saying BOTH Petersons did to Zab in sparring in preparation for the Cotto fight, and that Zab only trained for 3 weeks for that fight...how in the world could you be so confident in picking Zab to "crush" Cotto?

                    Weird.

Easy, I thought Zab would catch Cotto early, which he did, in fact he had Cotto hurt twice early, but Cotto went straight for the nads as soon as he got rocked. If he didn't do that, Zab would have KO'd him. For the record, Zab showed tons of heart in that one, and showed the world he could be out of the ring for over a year and come in out of shape and still give Cotto all he could handle. Cotto isn't all that....
