I will give the Kid credit, he went to Leeds. He did what he does better than Josh and he lost. Galahad is complicated, he disturbed Josh before Lara and might have caused his decline.

Considering the rematch is in Leeds and they're stuffing the stadium with a bunch of freebies, it seems they're pulling out all the stops. What else can they do to make it hard on the Mexican? A big ring? Josh doesn't need to know how to box to take off running. How many Mexican judges, or ref? This is why things are the way they are. When you have to stack the deck to win, don't be shocked when you don't.Last edited by richardt; 08-26-2021, 12:21 PM.Comment

And if Lara was a star in his hometown or country, and he was fighting a visiting opponent, the same would be true; Lara would have all the say-so, momentum. It is all about stars, promoters, network affiliations, branding. A-side almost always gets everything in their favor, whether UK, Mexico, US, EU, wherever. That is never going to change across the globe or in particular areas.Comment

And if it were a perfect world, B side would become the A side after beating the original A side. But that isn't going to change, nor will the accolades that come with being the A side and having control, especially with corrupt/incompetent judges, affiliations, sponsorships, fighters getting to pass other contenders and getting undeserved shots, the whole she****.Comment

The Lara fight was a devastating loss for Josh. Psychologically, physically, there has to be a lasting impact. It's tough to see how it goes differently, because it seems unlikely that Lara won't be in a position to lay those heavy hands on him at some point and we know it rocks him.Comment
