The call for that to be the case never rang louder than upon the conclusion of their August 21 Fox Sports Pay-Per-View headliner. Ugas thoroughly outboxed and outfought the legendary Filipino en route to a twelve-round, unanimous decision victory at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Pacquiao remained non-committal to walking away for good, even hinting at a possible rematch with Ugas though not discounting the possibility of riding off into the sunset.

Mannie like so many have gone on to long. He should of retired after the Thurman fight now he possibly goes out on a loss and if decides to have one more he could possibly have another loss so its a gamble. His record has one more loss which shouldn't be there, Ugas is a good fighter but not world class. Sadly there's not many Hopkins or Foreman's around. Retire now Mannie but sadly this loss now will drop you down a notch as one of the Greatest of all time because with a loss to Horn and Ugas which is unnecessary blemishes.

His resume and wins are in bag, and even.in defeat he showed his worth. He won't drop down just like SR R didnt. SR R lost to guys not as good as ugas in his 40s, too much is made of losses and unbeaten records due to one fan base

Does Ugas become the #2 WW in reality?
Ugas could have been 2-0 vs #'s 3, & 4(Paq, & Porter)Welterweights universally rank in all of boxing.(regardless of governing bodies)
While, the #2 guy(Crawford) has never faced anyone even close to this at 147.(WBO ranked fighters, inactive, & unranked)
Again, not 135, not 140. We are talking 147.
Why does Bud still get rewarded such higher status, but in reality, Ugas has the better resume.
Ugas proved it in the ring. (Current, Present, here, and now)
The current #2 guy,(current, present, here & now) is rewarded by the media for past.
