This has been a fun saga to follow. The Association of Boxing Commissions really shoved their fist deep inside the WBA's ass. I honestly thought it would take a drug cartel to do this to them, but an American organization threatening to cut off U.S. funds is good enough.

Sad thing is that they still have 2 champions in 14 of 17 weight divisions. Get to reducing those to 1 Gilberto you fat f**ck!

      Absolute joke of an organization.

Of course his dad is going to oversell it to hype him up but Guerrero has been through the wars, it's not like he cherry picked or ducked his way to three legit world titles and three interim titles. He has fought 12 times against world champion opposition: twice vs Gamaliel Diaz and once each against Eric Aiken, Orlando Salido, Malcolm Klassen, Joel Casamayor, Andre Berto, Floyd Mayweather, Keith Thurman, Danny Garcia, Omar Figueroa, and now Victor Ortiz. He went 6-5-0-1 in those fights with only one stoppage loss. Plus he had that epic war with Yoshihiro Kamegai in there.
I was there ringside for the Kamegei fight, it was on the Loma vs GRJ undercard. Great fight. I'll never forget the Japanese guy in front of me cheering Kamegei on and waving his Japanese flag, only to quietly hang his head in disappointment and fold his flag up when Guerrero was announced as the winner. I felt for the guy

I thought Tank was WBA World title holder at 135 and 140 not that it counts for anything cause it's a participation trophy but you get my question I hope.

Everyone should just keep ignoring the WBA whilst they try to stay afloat. Eventually they’ll just drown and disappear, then rinse and repeat on the other orgs.

Yeah you’re right he is, I was literally just cracking a joke but some people took it way too seriously.

Hopefully they also get rid of the Gold and Regular titles too.

Titles like that are as phony as tree dollar bill. I'd go a step further and get rid of the in-between weight belts too. If we don't clean this up right, it'll sneek back at us.
Long time ago, it was just the WBA only. Competition is fine, but boxing has not been served with all these orgs. Seems like the only ones being served are these orgs.

I agree with that. I dont know why we need any more than 1 title per org per weight class. It'd be a constant battle for a mando position and we'd see good fights and promoters working together.
