Why didn't Deontay Wilder get a proper trainer?

Malik Scott was always the biggest YES man in the camp. Very disappointing. Probably the only way to do worse than Jay Deas was employing Scott.

    Virgil Hunter?
    John David Jackson?
    Teddy Atlas?
    Shane McGuigan?
    Ronnie Shields?
    Derrick James?

There are so many better options out there...

Considering his ZERO boxing ability and all of the excuses he used after the second fight, not many wanting to put their reputation on the line???

I don’t think Wilder will win but how do you know about his camp? We’ve seen maybe 2% of their training camp. Let the fight take place first then come back and criticize.
