Right. It seemingly would've been a bad situation either way. I won't lie....I totally forgot about the layoff. Why? Because Manny decided to face Spence after that long of a layoff so I didn't make a big deal of it. Boy, was I wrong. Lol

When he was shopping for Mikey and Conor I was getting nervous, the fact he got stripped of his belt shows how long he was taking then he decides to fight Spence?

He was rolling the dice for sure

Yeah man, Manny's been on borrowed time for a while now. I seriously thought the Mikey Garcia fight was the best option (due to size) but they chose Spence. Again, either they knew something we didn't or they were trying to cash out. Either way, it seemingly backfired.

If he’s going to continue fighting he needs to improve his defense. It’s almost non existent. Needs to work on lowering his volume of punches and being more accurate also. The judges have caught on to his flurry punches, many of them don’t land.

Ugas had absolutely nothing to lose....it was practically a free play and a bigger payday handed to him due to circumstances. I can't knock it.

We shouldn't be seeing Manny eating porridge with his eyes swollen shut, but Freddie and his team were so arrogant going into this fight and didn't have the proper game plan to prepare. Screw that, look at the size difference in that fight....again....no way a 42 year old Manny should've been fighting that size and style.

Guys of Manny's caliber should be free to decline last-minute replacements. I mean, really....everybody wanted to see the Spence fight, so it wouldn't have been a huge deal to cancel this one. Manny's a fighter and he'll fight to the bloody end, regardless of the opponent. That being said, not all of his fights should be on PPV, namely the Ugas fight.
I've been saying the same thing. Saw an article today with buboy saying that pac should continue his career because he can't end it losing against an unknown fighter because he' s a legend. lmao. see that's how much team pac underestimated ugas and didn't do their homework on him. they probably just checked his record or something and say "okay this guys has 4 losses" wth. Pac was definitely ill advised as no member of his team has actually a a close grasp to reality. Even roach shouldn't be able to say "manny is strong" given his condition anyone is strong punching him.

But him keeping the date and fighting let some young boxers eat and gain experience including ugas.
