Nah. Clenbuterol is allowed now. You haters just don’t want to acknowledge meat contamination. WADA would not do favors for this particular “substance.” It went from a zero tolerance ban to now an allowed substance. You guys must be really ****** to not understand drugs.

Thurman bigger than Pacquiao. He got knocked down by a former Flyweight… how old was PAC against Keith? Canelo never boasted to be the “greatest” when he fought Floyd. The ginger rarely spoke earlier in his career. He acknowledged a 152 Catchweight, chased Floyd around the ring the second half, became Lineal Middleweight Champ and Floyd never wanted to fight him again. Lol.
Logan Paul and McGregor were significantly bigger in the ring than when Canelo campaigned at 154. It means weight classes affect performance. It’s the reason why Canelo is stronger at his more ideal weight. Floyd diehards don’t have a clue to acknowledge poor performance yet they claim Canelo drained earlier in his career, which he did, just like all boxers do. Bud was cutting 20lbs of water when he was fighting at 135. Most of you don’t understand those details. They’re not excuses, but context is everything.Comment

I’m too experienced, too grizzled, and too old for hurt feelings on the internet. Yes you’re a fan, but I question how long you have been one if you’re so ready to cancel out JC Chavez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Salvador Sanchez, Oliver’s, Zarate, Lopez etc. Canelo has a history of avoiding the best opponents post Mayweather, who totally outclassed him. I thought he lost the first ggg fight as well as the Lara fight. Ask yourself this….if he were to retire today…would he be remembered with renown by boxing and sports fans alike? He would largely be looked at like joe Calzaghe, great but never a defining win against a great in their prime.Comment

Also, was Chavez not embarrassed by De La Hoya? Was Marquez not embarrassed by Mayweather, even knocked down? And avoiding the best opponents? He beat the most feared and ducked middleweight in recent history with GGG. He fought one of the greatest P4P fighters ever with Money. And, in recent times, he's fought 2 undefeated world champions in their prime: the ring magazine best fighter at super middleweight in Callum Smith and Billie joe saunders. Who is he ducking?

You constantly spew that chest-thumper OG bs thinking that it gives you some cred. It doesn't. All of those guys you mention are great Mexican fighters, but you expose yourself as nothing more than an internet OG when you seriously suggest that Olivares and Zarate stand above Canelo. Zarate was a savage puncher and a dominant bantamweight champ, but what are his major wins apart from Zamora? Internationally, he is probably best known for his losses. Olivares was also a great fighter, but if you're going to take points away from Canelo for losing to elite fighters like Floyd and GGG (I agree he should have lost the first fight), then what do you say about all of Olivares' losses? Olivares lost to many guys during his prime years and many of those were KOs.

Canelo is certainly on track to be one of the very top Mexican greats, if not the best when he retires 5 years from now.Last edited by NachoMan; 08-25-2021, 10:21 AM.Comment

I’ve been a boxing fan since the 90’s so I saw the tail end of julios run and saw and every Mexican great from then till now. I’ve also studied the game so I know about Sal Sanchez he is actually my all time fave from Mexico but if you want to criticize we can both agree that any boxer in the history or present and j guarantee even j. The future can be criticized. You say you’re too old? Why aren’t you old enough to stop being a hater?
