Comments Thread For: Dmitry Bivol vs. John Ryder Could Be Explored, Says Eddie Hearn

Dmitry Bivol could next defend his WBA light heavyweight title against John Ryder after his hopes of facing Saul "Canelo" Alvarez were dashed. The Russian had been put forward as an alternative opponent for Canelo when talks for an undisputed world super-middleweight title fight with Caleb Plant seemed to be going nowhere. But a deal was finally sealed last week for that fight to go ahead in November, leaving Bivol looking for another challenger.

F*** off Hearn, John has no business at 175. Morrell may be a tough fight but Bivol is a un-winnable fight for Ryder. He’s not even a big Super Middleweight FFS, plus Morrell vs Ryder is a really good fight as is Bivol vs Ramirez. Why can’t those far more logical fights just be made?!

Bivol vs. Ramirez would make more sense, but I think GBP is freezing out MatchRoom over the Canelo situation! No one seems to be in a rush to fight Morrell Jr., not even PBC fighters!

Who’s Ramirez gonna fight instead though? His best and pretty much only option is Bivol, and vice versa in fairness. Surely GBP and Matchroom can work together on this one, it’s definitely in the best interest of both fighters.

This is what Al Haymon gets for messing with DAZN business. See how easily promoters can retaliate?

the truth is Morrell would be the favorite to beat Ryder, so that means Hearn wouldn’t bid for John to stage on DAZN. Why sacrifice a Matchroom fighter on PBC when Morrell doesn’t have the real WBA belt? That’s the concept as Haymon not wanting to give DAZN business with Plant over there! Lol.

so Hearn might as well use the DAZN UK subs on Ryder to attempt a win against Bivol, regardless if John is seen to lose. Ryder destroyed one of Canelo’s power punchers in Akawy and can move big opponents like Smith. That means Ryder could at least give an entertaining fight against Bivol.

There’s more money is Ryder vs Bivol than Ryder vs Morrell. At least Ryder get to train for a Real belt and a harder fight.

They (Jo Jo & KingRy) haven't fought Haney! They (Munguia) haven't fought Andrade! They (Ramirez) haven't reached out for Bivol, even though Beterbiev has been ordered to fight Marcus Browne. I don't think it's a coincidence!

Haymon had a Pacquiao PPV in August, a Wilder PPV in Ocrober, and a Canelo PPV in November! He's doing just fine!

Who have Haney, Andrade or Bivol fought though? Matchroom are as much to blame as GBP.

Haney-Linares was a co-promotion too, so they can work together if they want to.

Lol. You didn’t understand the message. Haymon didn’t want to give DAZN Caleb Plant for Undisputed.

Hearn doesn’t have to give up Ryder to fight on PBC against Morrell. DAZN could use UK subs for a fight against Bivol.

lolZ. Your response made no sense…

I know he didn't, but he got a deal done with Canelo and Plant, for undisputed on FOX. I think he's winning!
