USA boxers struggling at world amateurs in Milan

The US now has only three boxers left in the tournament, as the medal rounds get closer. All the information is here:

Cuba in contrast still has 10 left, Russia has 9, and Ukraine has 8.

Ireland is doing very well for a small country, and still has 6. England has 3 fighters remaining, and Canada has 2.

It's rather shocking to see the US decline in world amateur boxing. What happened in last year's Olympics is happening again this year in Milan.

Yeah right, Trust me the US Military would roll over the soviet blocks defences like they weren't even there. the only threat to teh US military is China and that due to sheer numbers.

it's the still the largest and by a huge margin the most important ecconomy in the world, and should there be a need to the industrial base could still outstrip any other country.

the US is still a Superpower, Russia on the other hand is not.

Seeing as we don't have Bradley there, all of our top amateur boxers are now professional and boxing isn't big in England - I'd say we're doing Ok.

              But not good enough.

The way the amatuers have changed the American style hasn't changed with it. I personally hate what the amatuers have turned into the past 8 years, but that doesn't mean the Americnas would fare any better. Our kids get discouraged by losing early in tournaments and such and drop out and turn pro. They need more experience period in the international competition and but not too much. Ra'she Warren is spending too much time in the amateurs and it will cost him if he ever turns pro. We need to adapt, but the scoring system needs to go back to the way it was 30 years ago for the better of the sport not just the American fighters.

Russia even killed a few U.S. marines AND TOOK US HUM-VEE trucks and U.S. weapons and laughed at the U.S. LOL!
