Here’s mine:
- Barrera TKO11 (2003) - Winning by a huge upset against a legit prime boxing star and one of mexico’s all time great fighters. In my opinion Pac’s best win.
- Marquez SD12 (2008) - I’ve always believed Pac’s style is tailor made for a counter puncher like Jmm, how he manages to compete against him were a testament of his physical talents and greatness during his prime. The knockdown gave him the edge on this one. Marquez is also inside mexico’s top 10 of all time.
- Tim Bradley II UD12 (2014) - People are quick to forget how good prime Bradley was. Beating a prime fighter on your 7th weight class while you’re slowly moving away from your prime shouldn’t be less of a feat.
- Thurman SD12 (2019) - Doubters say thurman was broken when they fought, then what does that make pac? — who has had more wars, injuries and mileage and not to mention 40 years old, to become the oldest welterweight champ.
- Cotto TKO12 (2009) - Albeit at 145lbs, Cotto was the first live welter pacman faced with significant size advantage over Pacman and was very much in his prime. Cotto proceeded to win many more fights at higher weight classes years after this fight.
- Ledwaba TKO6 (2001) - Pacquiao became a late replacement against a top 5 pound for pound fighter at that time, and boy he showed up. You could say this is the fight that set ablaze his storied career.
- Hatton KO2 (2009) - Hatton wasn’t very good, but he was the man at 140lbs, and was very much still on his prime or close to it. He was 30 at the time.
- Delahoya TKO9 (2008) - eventhough in hindsight, this fight was pretty easy for pacquiao given Delahoya’s performance, he came into this fight as a heavy underdog and climbed 2 weight classes. Only pinoys gave pacman a chance.
- Morales II TKO10 (2006) - before anyone would say Morales was prime and had plenty of wars (lol), he was actually 29 when this fight happened. Morales is also one of mexico’s very best making this a great win for pacman. Morales retired many years after.
- Chatchai Sasakul TKO8 -At only 19 years old, pacquiao challenged Sasakul for the WBC flyweight titles. And he became champion after just 3 years of being a pro.
