Other than the money, it was a no win situation for anyone that beat Manny. If Manny wins, "he's the greatest!" If Manny loses, "he was an old man!"

People complaining about Ugas being happy about this win are miserable morons. The guy sacrificed everything to come from Cuba, hasn’t been a major player in a loaded division, is 35 yrs old so he doesn’t have a long time ahead of him in the sport, took on the most accomplished star in the sport on less than 2 weeks notice, was considered an underdog and boxed his ass off. What kind of a reaction do you goofballs expect from him?

I wonder what Manny fans will think if Floyd was to unretire and take on Ugas and beat him easily.
Would they say Floyd is a cherry picker? Would they say Ugas is tailor-made for Floyd? Would they say Thurman win was better than Ugas? Would they acknowledge Floyd in any form?

Good point. I expected an Ugas victory. I wish that it wasn't such a pain in the ass in my state to bet boxing. It seemed like good odds for an upset. Ugas is well schooled and always is in shape. It wasn't a "great" fight but that is his style. The judges were okay for a change!

I think he's learned from that loss to Porter. He let his hands go Rounds 10, 11, and 12! Had he done that, he would've got the decision over Porter! He deserved no less than a draw in that fight! Last night, he put the icing on the cake with that right hand!

Yes the old Pacman had a bad night, he really should go be president now. He has done enough for boxing. Now watch, Spence or Crawford will fight Ugas and beat him. That's the way it goes sometimes. Mosley beat Oscar twice and was the man, but then Vernon Forrest came along and whipped Mosley twice and became the man. Ali had 3 hard fights with Norton, who was KOd by Foreman in 2 rounds. Then Ali KOd Forman.

You can totally tell Ugas put in a full training camp for Pac.

He could have easily gotten the nod over Porter. I saw Ugas against some argentinian dude at Barclay's a few years ago. My old lady said "is this the guy you rave about, i'm bored with this fight". You cannot always explain things to women but sometimes Ugas does not throw enough punches. Last night he finished strong! Props to him!

The right hook is such an effective punch for orthodox stance fighters, that I don't know why they don't use it more often. Well done Ugas, he can get a few extra big paydays before leaving boxing.

Pacquiao, thanks for the great memories.
