Ignorant boxing fans who love to hate Manny when comparing to Floyd always forget that Manny is smaller naturally. A true 135 to 140 fighter. He fights at 147 to be competitive. Floyd can't even make 144.
Manny was never really noted for his skill set ( he is underrated for sure), only for his aggressive style and movement. He challenged himself and was always the underdog most cases, people tend to forget that.
only boxing fans like us here actually nitpic ****. But the outside world, boxing people and casuals alike give Manny the love and it will always be like that.
Floyd will be considered great no doubt, but in all honesty he never lived up to his true potential or even gave us 110% in fights. He will be remebered as a guy with a huge skill set but only did the minimum to win.

Indeed. Pac overachieved while Floyd underachieved.

If only he fought williams, cotto, marga, maravilla in their prime, he would be regarded more highly. Or at least if he beat pac in his prime.

His best win was against hatton but we know hatton was Kayoed by Pac.

Me personally dont fault floyd from fighting Sergio, wouldve nice and interesting. PWill, maybe A little. Good intriguing match up too.

But I do blame Floyd for ducking Marg and Cotto. Bc they were top WW during his retirement lol.

He fought Hatton at 147, the hit man was top dog at 140.

If only he dared to be great. A prime cotto or plastered marga in his resume would have catapulted his legacy.

Hatton win was also marred by him asking hatton to go up.

he fought a weight drained slow but dangerous corales and that it.

He fought a small and past prime pacquiao.

I think his best was hatton but still not that good.

y’all always like to swap out opponents when it comes to Floyd to discredit him. Let’s be honest right now who is margarito when it comes to being a legacy opponent ….? A nobody. They only bring margarito up because Floyd didn’t fight him so that was the one who was supposed to defeat Floyd. Margarito is going down in history as a cheater not a good fighter.

if floyd fought margarito he would have been another Robert Guerrero. What I mean by that is before Floyd was supposed to fight Robert he was going to fight Devon Alexander and EVERYBODY for a brief moment was saying Floyd was ducking Robert because he was scared of Guerrero and what he did to berto.

Floyd beats Robert and now he is reduced to just another cherry pick. If floyd fought Devon instead I bet today Robert would have been this boogie man like how people try to portray margarito when it comes to Floyd.

I tend to agree with you here. Thank god for ****m!
I wouldnt have wanted floyd to fight anyone with loaded gloves, even as much as I dislike him. I know Cotto felt the effects of them.

But in hindsight, Floyd feared Marg. Videos and interviews proved it.
