Considering what he accomplished I don't consider a few losses at the beginning and twilight of his career to be "embarrassing". He's still one of the best ever.
Marquez IV was embarassing. He had already fought him three times. Yet Marquez learned and evolved after each "loss" while Pacquiao didn't really change anything. I think Pacquiao won a close first fight. Marquez won a close second fight. Third fight was an absolute robbery. Fourth fight Marquez took a huge gamble and risked everything to the point he was clearly losing the fight before the shot he was waiting for finally arrived.
The shoulder excuse afterMayweather and whatever fight he used the sock excuse for (Marquez I maybe?) were also pretty embarrassing.
It's gotta be the Floyd loss. All the tards have a hard time digesting that. It always creates its own dilemma: who's better the man (Manny Pacquiao) or the man (Floyd) who beat the man? This will always be a topic in who was better head to head prime for prime Mano y mano, who's greater p4p or in atg status? It's like what came first? The chicken or the egg, or it's like a circle, it never ends. Discussion begins now: heated arguments prior and ahead.
Lol I love how this thread keeps popping up at the top of my feed.
Ive said it before and I will say it again: Every time Pacquiao took a damn nap in the ring it was embarrassing. Especially against far inferior competition.
Getting KTFO by Marquez is one thing, getting knocked into next week by journeymen is something else.
I know one fighter I have never spotted taking a nap in the ring. Too bad that fighter doesn’t have a heads up victory over Pacquiao when they were both a similar age.
Oh… That fighter does exist? His name is “Pretty Boy” Floyd “Money” Joy Sinclair Mayweather Junior?
Ok then. Enjoy your presidency Mr Senator. You have entertained me for many years. A warrior? Yes. A great fighter? Yes. One of the greatest Southpaws I’ve ever seen for sure.
