Dude is a legend, HOF'er, one of the best of the era. Personally, I've never been a fan, but that's fine. He lost a clear but competitive decision to a top 5 WW and he's not going to get any better. It's clear he is past it and the time has just about come to hang them up. But to me, when a guy that has accomplished as much as Pacquiao has and has an adoring fanbase like he does, if he's not going out on his shield, he should go out triumphantly. I'm sure selling it would be easy as hell. Tell everyone beforehand that this is his last fight win or lose, put him in with an ageing but known opponent that he should easily beat and have a going away fight with Pacquiao walking out a winner. The Ghost fits the bill after edging Ortiz tonight. If PBC wanted to pull out Ortiz, or Berto, or Alexander or Figueroa that's fine. Again, it should be a celebration and a ride off into the sunset for people to enjoy. Think every great deserves to go out that way or get bombed into oblivion and go out on their shield. Since that didn't happen tonight, I say the former should happen now.
I think Pacquiao should take one more fight

I wholeheartedly agree, one more against someone that is considered good enough. And in his last fight his introduction it should include all of the divisions in which he won a world title, all 8 divisions kinda like what Michael Buffer did back then.
It's fitting for him to retire with a win.Comment

When he fought thurman, thurman was just happy for the payday and made concessions eg no vada testing.
He needed another one like that, but no one was paying for that. He took the spence fight, figured he was getting paid enough, so wouldnt have minded losing to Spence jr.
