Tonight's loss was a blessing in disguise because I don't think Pac would have heard the bell for round 10 against Spence or Crawford; Pac would have taken a beating and been stopped by being waved off or not coming out of his corner. And Boxing would have come under scrutiny.

It’s time to hang it up. Do one more retirement fight in the Philippines against Ghost Guerrero and call it career.

Pacquiao allowed Ugas to take that round.

Pacquiao was busier, I told my wife the fight will be close due to this but that Ugas can still get the W. I said if Pacquiao wins, it will be called a robbery but it really isn't. It's just that judges tend to reward volume.

Lastly, Pacquiao should retire. He looks like he can not pull the trigger anymore. Yeah he threw 815 punches, 50% busier than his opponent. But most of his punches had nothing behind them. And he could not really catch Ugas clean.

Pacquiao also looked clearly slower than ever.

He had a legendary career. He was competitive vs the much larger man. But that much larger man was the underdog.
He couldn't catch Ugas because, Ugas is a fundamental boxer first, and will engage if force too. He's defense is underrated. The legend threw a lot of punches, so he pulled the trigger, Ugas wasn't there to be hit, and countered beautiful. Be safe

Happy for Ugas. His boxing career is literally made for Hollywood. Great amateur career, professional career started rocky so he walked away from boxing for a few years. Rededicated himself to boxing, went on a amazing run, landed a title shot but gets robbed, few years later becomes a late sub to face a living legend and beats the legend. The end.

Good effort for Pac tonight and a break out for Ugas. Give Ugas another big name/money fight or book Ugas/James 2, and winner fighters Spence if he isn’t stripped.
Pac should retire, but if he wanted to come back somewhat soon, I wouldn’t mind seeing him beat Guerrero, and then fight Garcia-Prograis winner in 2022

Ugas made Manny look amateuristic all night long. Just imagine if that had been Errol in there tonight.

Damn. Even Victor fought better than Pacquiao.

I'll just say that I hope he is in a place financially to retire. Otherwise, the sharks will start circling and look to use his name as a launching pad.

I can imagine then trying to feed him to Ortiz or Ennis if it's viable.

That was the right Marquez threw that knocked him down the first time in their final fight. Pac seems to close his eyes, drops his hands down, and pulls back whenever that punch is thrown.
