Pacquiao's Camp: Fernandez Approves Baguio City

Trainer Buboy Fernandez has inspected the location in Baguio City, Philippines for the upcoming training camp of Manny Pacquiao. The pound-for-pound king plans to use Baguio City to train for the fight with WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto on November 14 in Las Vegas. Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach will be forced to join the camp in the Philippines. He urged Pacquiao to use a facility in Toluca, Mexico. Roach feared the possibility of media and fan distractions if they held the training camp in the Philippines. [details]

i see cracks in the pacman camp already, roach is not going to be happy whatever happens unless manny trains where he says so.cotto going to knock him out.he should be listening to roach on everything right now because cottos the most dangerous boxer he has fought and if manny thinks his speed alone will win him this fight,he in for a big surprize

this is a bad idea. pac has been riding a great wave of sucess and it would be terrible for him to put himself in a situation where he loses focus and possibly loses the fight because of it. i think they will end up moving camp if roach gets frustrated and threatens to fly home.

The fans of Pacquiao have to be absolutely ******ed there if they feel hanging around him and distracting him when he's training for a dangerous fight is OK. Do they honestly think he can win without training? That he magically comes in shape every fight without training a day? He needs undistracted training if he's got any chance against Cotto. The reporters obviously don't give a hoot because their paid to report his actions, but the fans and leechers from his entourage need to just disappear for those training camp weeks.

you can't compare hatton to cotto! Hatton was a pay day! This is a fight and believe me if PAC wants to win, he better come prepared!

I think he should listen to Roach. Being in the Philippines will distract him.
