“He’s fighting with a YouTuber just to earn money. And I’m fighting the best to add to my legacy, so that’s different. To fight an easy opponent for the money or to fight one of the best to add to your legacy. It’s different," Pacquiao said.

Almost no fighter fights every top fighter since many don't even fight between themselves. Jones proved to be an ATG and that status will remain unchanged. Jones fought at least 14 former or current world champions at the time and that speaks for itself. Anyone can pick apart the resume of any fighter that ever lived but their status among the greats will remain.
Who were these main fighters Jones fought other than Hopkins at a point were his development was way behind that of Jones, or was having very public and known problems with weight the way Toney was?

All the others fought each other. Benn, Eubank, Toney, McCallum, Michalczewski, Collins, Calzaghe, Watson, McClellan, Nunn etc etc...

Jones only fought McCallum when he was shot to pieces. Calzaghe when he had nothing to lose and in Calzaghe's last fight as a pro. And of course, Toney when he was having problems. Hell, he wouldn't even fight Hopkins when he was Undisputed Middleweight champion. Jones thought he deserved more of the money because he beat Hopkins earlier. That's like saying Torrecampo should have most of the money had he had a rematch with Manny when he was a P4P and PPV super star. It's completely illogical. The best way would have been to split the money down the middle. But Jones being Jones, he always had a reason for not fighting the best when at their best.

I won't dispute Hopkins being in the much better position in the rematch with Jones. But that still doesn't justify the claim of them being on a level playing field when they first fought. They weren't. And it wasn't even close.

Obviously the guys who beat him like Floyd and Marquez weren't on that list.

Not all the top fighters fought each other and the fact is, and even Eubank said he did not want to fight Jones in a youtube video. Every resume of every great - anyone can play the devil's advocate and pick any resume apart. Jones was an ATG on every single boxing list in existence so if you want to waste your time, you can argue with the experts, fans, and the collective boxing analysts all you want but you will not change the that that Jones is clearly an ATG.

I agree, it shows butthurt on Pac's part to not name the guys that beat him.

Eubank fought a prime Benn twice, prime Collins twice, prime Watson twice. He fought Calzaghe and Rocchigiani amongst others. Jones did not do that. Sorry, but it's the truth.

Jones also said he didn't want to fight Eubank. But with Eubank, he chops and changes the story all the time. He does and says things for effect. But for the most, Eubank wanted to fight him.

You didn't answer the question? Who were the main fighters Jones fought? There were many out there that wanted to fight him?

You're not getting the point. Jones fought 14 current or former or future world champions. Look, Jones is a ATG and that is not something you have any control over. I've watched boxing for 30 years and it is a FACT that Jones is an ATG. IF you can't handle that, that is on you. I'm not going to debate his resume because you are not going to convince the legions of fans and experts that know Jones is an ATG. You're outnumbered dude. End of discussion.

All i'm asking is who were the main fighters he fought? The reason to why you can't answer is, he didn't fight any of them. He cherry picked his way through his whole career whilst proclaiming himself to be the best. But when the best came calling, Jones was out of there. Floyd fought the likes of Guerrero, Ortiz, Berto, shot Mosley, finished Cotto, small Marquez, shot Mitchell etc etc as former world champions or whilst holding a belt at the time. Doesn't mean it meant anything. They range from OK win, to completely worthless. Mostly worthless though.

Hell, Khan fought 14 current or former world champions in his career. But do you consider him to be an ATG? I most certainly don't. And Khan was a lot more willing to test himself than Jones was.

Did Khan beat 14 current for former world champions??? I'm not going to waste my time debating with you. Jones is an ATG and you can foam at the mouth all you want but that is not going to change! Live with it or take your medicine. I know you hate black fighters, that is too apparent over the years.
