2021: No good fights yet everything is on PPV

I’ve never seen anything like it.

There’s maybe been two compelling fights that advanced the sport this entire year.

Yet anyone who can fog a mirror made it to PPV.

How many PPVs are we scheduled to have? 15? 20?

I don’t even remember being excited for one weekend of boxing this year yet I’m supposed to have over $1000 in PPVs?

    Lol f**k you boxing.

Plenty of weeks I've been excited for (Taylor/Ramirez, Nery/Figueroa, Charlo/Castano, Donaire/Oubaali, Tank/Barrios, Ortiz/Mean Machine, etc). but this was the week I was going to be REALLY excited for......Spence vs Pacquiao has two big names and was a very good fight on paper....Of course Wilder/Fury fell through as well as Fury/Joshua before it even got made...The fights not happening for one reason or another are the reason for the feeling you have.

Will you purchase Crawford vs Porter if it gets made?

I agree. There have been really solid fights on all platforms. You wouldn’t know that if you judge the card solely by the names.

IMO you almost always get a better fight when you have evenly matched guys in with each other.

I understand frustration about not getting exactly the fights you want as a fan, but just like any sport, drama and excitement can come out of nowhere.

In terms of action fights and competitive match ups? We have had plenty...Just the BIG fights have been lacking. Hopefully the fall and winter provide us just that.

          Crawford-Porter is PPV worthy.

Canelo and Pacquiao on PPV I get.

The Paul brothers, the Mexican heavyweight fight, Tank Davis against a victim, Chavez Sr exhibition, De La Hoya’s return and probably a few I don’t remember have been a joke.

Too many PPVs this year during a bad year of boxing.

I just don’t want an average of a PPV every 1.5 weeks in the summer, especially when none of them are meaningful.

Perfectly understandable. I’m just saying some of the undercard fights have been great.

This year is no different than last year or the year before. Boxing has been sht for awhile. But there were several exciting fights at the lower level and the smaller weight divisions.
