Thanks for that comment and reminder from Freddy & Manny. Should be a great fight come 8/21. May the best man win (which should be Manny) but should Uganda rip a page from Floyd’s fight with Manny…it maybe a long Christmas…come Saturday the 21st

People are sleeping on this fight because of the disappointment of the Spence fight falling apart. This is gonna be one hell of a fight and probably 50/50 as far as I’m concerned.

Most fans just don’t know enough about Ugas. For some strange reason, fans always seem to assume that unknown fighters are bums. Those will be the same fans crying robbery when Ugas loses but exceeds expectations or they’ll say Manny was shot to pieces if Ugas pulls off the win.

Ugas is on his way out and probably the same age as Pacman, surely much slower and with less hair, not the best comparison

“My title was given to Ugás. That is not how you become a champion. You earn it by winning it inside the ring. We will fight for the title. That is the proper way a champion is crowned."

                Shots fired.

Pacquiao spitting venom, speaking the truth.

Well. Let’s look at all the facts.

“Manny was shot to pieces if Ugas pulls of the win.”

Pacquiao is 42, going on 43 in several months. He is literally way past the average age a boxer becomes shot/way past his best. As an already older fighter, he has not fought in 2 years. So if fans/media blame his loss on his age, it would actually be a common sense observation.

You can not downplay his age because it’s something you even predict can be a factor in his loss. You brought up where he is in his career by saying you think that’s what fans will say if he loses. So even you know that it’s a factor.

Nobody on Earth expects a 42 year old athlete to still be at his best in his sport, unless it’s a very soft sport like Golf or Bowling. Many fans will more than likely be surprised at Pacquiao dominating the fresher, younger Ugas. And probably a ton of fans will not be surprised at Pacquiao losing, due to his age. And just historically speaking, Pacquiao is past that age, way past that age, where legends start getting beat up by dudes they could’ve mopped the floor with at their best.

RJJ was done at 34. Fans claim Chavez Sr was old vs DLH, where he was 34. Joe Louis was undoubtedly a shadow of his former self when he came back from retirement at 35 years old due to financial issues. And so on.

Bernard Hopkins and George Foreman fought and beat elites in their 40s but that is the exception not the rule.
