Having to hate on a fan base is one thing, but to not appreciate a fighter because of its fanbase? That's petty.

I just think you should like a fighter based on skill not because of their fans. Ali was hated when he didn't want to go to Vietnam.. He was shamed.. Doesn't bother me one bit.. I love the guy.
