Years ago HBO essentially banned Wladimir Klitschko from the network. They said "He's too boring, fights safety first. We're not airing his fights anymore."

I was a fan but I understood, and I agreed with the move. Americans didn't like his style, thought he was boring, so showing his fights was bad for the sport.

The problem is not the fighters or the promoters. It's the networks. If the networks passed on guys who fight in that style, they would have no income and have to adjust their style. But networks these days hand out blanket content deals that let promoters give them whatever garbage. Zero attention is paid to quality; the quality of the product being delivered to the customers.

Meanwhile, UFC is kicking boxings ass because they're obsessed with quality.

This was worst than Klit Fury or Haye Valuev. Imagine throwing and landing less than Klit. Both fighters were terrible.

        Cures insomnia in no time.
Floyd would take him out in the 8th by TKO

Number one boxing ain't dead will never die

Number two Boxers like Rigo make up like 3% of the boxing world so why put the burden of the sport on his shoulders and excuse the people who dictate the matches we see

Threads like this exposes who is well versed in boxing knowledge and who is not. So many one-dimensional casuals don't know boxing.

If they fight with their weight class. Floyd should have no problem Chasing Rigo.

But if they're the same size. I think we'll have a huge marathon event that will make you ask yourself are they looking for the finish line? They'll both looking to not be hit by taking by heart Covid social distancing.

In fairness. Rigo doesn't foul clinch that much... So maybe Floyd would probably get him eventually.. but expect a boring fight.. It's afterall expected,

Why amateur boxers are warned by refs if they dont throw punches but not in the pro ranks? Pros should have higher standard. Likes of rigo should be dq for not throwing

the dumbest thing in this thread is that people watched a Rigo fight expecting a gatti/ward fight lol. That's just ******ity on the highest level...

people expect boxing skills not running skills. boxing skills are throwing punches, avoiding punches, countering. People expect bravery not cowardice.
