Marquez made a BRILLIANT move by calling out Mayweather

Juan Manuel Marquez is getting the biggest payday of his career. He is getting the most publicity and attention that he has ever received.

And he is practically in a no-lose situation for fight night. The boxing media and fans give him litle chance to win.

    Kudos to him.

it's true, the only lose-lose situation is mayweather for 3 reasons:

    1. if he loses obviously he got owned by a much smaller guy
    2. if he wins he beat up and bullied a tiny guy
    3. if he wins/loses and gets poor ppv sales, (which so far it looks like the case will be)
he'll have the dishonor of #1 or #2 PLUS not getting paid much $$$ cus as recent articles have shown he apparently is NOT guaranteed his alleged "8 figure" salary and since he's mostly promoting the fight with his promotions he's going to get $$ based on the PPV revenue and if it's poor well then he won't make that much at all

You know how funny is this?

At the Marquez-Diaz post-fight interview with Max Kellerman Juan said he wanted to fight the best Mayweather, then Shane and others individuals mocked him behind his back probably saying things like:

"Hahaha little guys has big balls"
"That's cute another one calling him out haha"
      "Yea right n00b haha"

      Who's laughing now bitches?

You really think PPV sales will be weak? I don't see that.

Mayweather has never been a huge gate guy. Decent, not huge. But his PPV's have always done well. I expect this PPV to surprise a lot of people (and disappoint the detractors wishing for his failure).

This fight has a buzz now. It took a while, but it now has a buzz.

If you call Mayweather out, he fights you. Hatton and Marquez are prime examples. I know it isn't in Cotto's nature, but he needs to do it. Call Money out. Pac should too.

Yes this match certainly makes up for his horrible decision to fight Chris John in Chris John's backyard for very little money.

He does have something to lose actually. Right now he's ranked #2 P4P and some make the claim that he's P4P #1. They won't be calling him a top five Pound-for-pounder if he gets owned by Mayweather, and fewer lucrative fights for him down the road.

He's 36. There are no other big-name lightweights. He likely doesn't have that many fights left in him anyway.

If he gets owned by Mayweather, He stays in the top 10. Floyd knocked Ricky senseless, and Hatton somehow was #8 p4p afterwards.

I think if Mayweather Gatti-izes JMM, it will elevate Floyd more than it erodes Marquez.
