And before you had, Kid Chocolate, Mantequilla Napoles, Ultiminio Ramos, Jose Legra, Kid Tunero, Black Bill, Luis M. Rodriguez, Kid Paret, Florentino Fernandez, Yoan Hernandez, Juan Carlos Gomez, Yoel Casamayor, Ramon Garbey, Hurtado, Nino Valdes. and did you know that, Sebastian Fundora's father a Cuban boxer, trained him? If you are a dog, it really doesn't matter where you are born. Lara is one of the most elusive fighters I have seen. Guess what? When he has a dancing partner, he can produce fights of the year. Just check perro, williams and hurd fights. If you want to be a truly boxing fan, learn the history of the sport, and don't repeat what or believe, what others with agenda, say or write about a boxer or group of boxers. How do you think the career of Rigondeaux could have turn out if, frampton, quigg, mares and s+, had grown a pair and had fought him?
      So what you're saying is......

I have to go build a time machine to watch a non boring Cuban boxer?

I like the upset here, but have nothing but respect for manny. I'm not sure anyone else in the sport would accept a top 5 guy as a late replacement. For him to do it at this age is something else .

I wouldn't be so sure. You might get a Spinks v Mayorga type of surprise.

Everyone knows I'm a huge Pacfan here. I gave Marques props for that sweet counter right down the pipe. That was rehearsed in his mind over and over during training. He found it when his life was flashing through his eyes, being battered and bruised in the final seconds of a round. He found that nice perfect shot. Amazing, Epic fight!

Infact I just commented on that in a recent thread. Here it is.. One of my favorite fight. That Pac Marquez 4 is what boxing is about for me.

            That's an understatement.

I consider this one of Pac's best fights. And the best fight out of the 4 even if Pac was the on KO'd. Epic. Epic fight. I ended watching it again..

Loved the chess match in this fight. Still gives me goosebumps watching this epic fight. The ebb and flow..Pac and Marquez are true dance partners. This is like What martial arts is about. YIN AND YANG.. Both possess attributes that can mess up the other guy.

It's like Goku vs Vegeta showdown. This time Vegeta gets a one up after tasting a heavy beating.. He finds away to win.

This fight is so cerebral. You can feel these two fighters thinking in the ring..

Thanks for letting me see this fight again. This is what boxing is about for me.

Yeah it was epic. 2 gladiators ready to leave everything in the ring. It was an action packed fight from start to finish. You can feel the tension in the air.. Both wanted to land bombs. It was truly gripping. This is why I watch boxing.

                    You too stay safe.

The guy in your avatar, Richar Abril, being a perfect example?
Actually, Rigondeaux is one of the most boring fighter I have ever watch. But your statement is not true. Lara has some good fights, two of them fight of the year. When the opponents knows how to cut the ring, he became a pitbull. Abril was the same, and could give a boxing lesson to anyone. Remember those fighters became professionals, way too late. Check the new generation, almost everyone of those fighters are 22-23 years old. And already have a few fights under their belt. I posted some names in this thread. Check them out. Gamboa was a very exciting fighter, Casamayor, Hurtado, Gomez, Yoan Pablo. All World Champs and in some really good fights. I don't consider Lara boring, he can get comfortable and make a fight boring. But the opponent has a lot to do with that, just like Abril. Now, Rigondeaux can make an exciting fight boring, I can't watch him. I know you are a truly boxing fan. Check those kids, Morell, Gomez, Ariel, etc... and get back to me. Be safe.
