I re watched Juan Manuel Marquez vs Marco Antonio Barrera

All I can say that it was a classic fight. I scored it 116-111 for Marquez

the official score cards were 116-111,116-111,118-109

but a lot of people were sayin Barrera was robbed, can I get you're thoughts?


I know this fight is old as hell but..I just want some feedback

Barrera was done in the championship rounds even though he won some of the early rounds big. So that tells me if it went 15 rounds JMM would've beaten him even more convincingly. I do think that one scorecard that was 118-110 was out of line. But it is Barrera's fault that we never saw a second fight and not JMM's.

How did you score the knockdown?

good question Mr Al Haymon (you see Marquez was dominating the whole 7th round,so I was going to give him a 10-9 round,but then Barrera knocks him down and hits him in the back of the head .So here's the hard part the ref takes a point away From Barrera and says it wasnt a knockdown when it clearly was. But I'm tryinG to score it like a judge so I pretend that the Kd didnt happen and still score it 10-8 in favor of marquez ,it would have been 10-9 without the point deduction

I love that fight.

Its a true techical chess match but with drama.

I remember thinking Barrera won when i first saw it, but recently i definetly had it for JMM who took over in the last few rounds.
